We have started reading Fantastic Mr. Fox this week. We imagined that Farmer Boggis; a filthy, enormous and nasty man; was standing in our classroom. We froze in position to show how we would react towards him. Then we said our thoughts about him aloud.
We have had a truly exciting day today in Rowling class. Sports day this morning and bread tasting this afternoon as part of our D&T topic. Yum!
The PE days for Rowling class for this term are Thursday and Friday. Please ensure that your child has their kit on these days.
This morning was Sports day for Key Stage 2. Rowling class wore our house colours with pride and competed in our house teams. The children showed great determination (even at the end when they were getting tired) and had lots of fun! Two of our class members won the running races too!

Today in science we dissected a flower to get a closer look at all the parts. We labelled them and discussed how each part contributed to the process of pollination.

Today we had some visitors to teach us a dance routine. We had great fun and were able to remember the whole routine on our own by the end of the session!
Well done to all those children who ran in the SdS park run after school. Your stamina and determination was an inspiration! Superb!
Today we became explorers and went inside an Egyptian tomb! ‘Howard Carter’ led the investigation and we saw some magnificent, ancient artefacts. We enjoyed some time studying the objects carefully, noticing things about them and thinking of ways we could describe them. Then Howard revealed the golden mask of Tutankhamun!
