Here is our key skills for the week:

Literacy: We have been looking at description this week; describing settings and characters. Can you change these sentences so they are more descriptive? Try to include: powerful adjectives, powerful adverbs, similes, punctuation and connectives. If you want to challenge yourself further try continuing one of the sentences as an introduction to a story.

  • The King has a crown
  • The man opened the door. There was a girl standing there.
  • He walked through the forest.

Mathematics: This week we have learnt how to round numbers to the nearest 10. Use this website to find numbers to round http://www.topmarks.co.uk/Flash.aspx?f=DartboardRoundingv2 You could choose 2-digit or 3-digit numbers to round to the nearest 10. Write the numbers in your book and round them to the nearest 10. Or ask a friend to write 8 numbers in your book to round to the nearest 10.
